Just one thing. Just focus on one thing. Here's what I mean. So if you try to go on a diet, for instance, most people will fail in a short period of time because they try to do too much too fast. They'll say, oh, I'm gonna go to the gym five days a week. I'm gonna eat perfectly every single day. I'm gonna do this for 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, whatever.
It's too much change, too fast. So what if you were to just take one thing, just change one thing this week, or maybe one thing each day? Just focus your mind on doing that one thing just a little bit differently. Maybe just reduce the amount of sugar that you put in your coffee just for today, and then tomorrow you do that and you also decide that you're gonna eat a little bit more vegetables.
Maybe it's just one extra exercise at the gym, or maybe it's just showing up to the gym. So often people get just overwhelmed by everything that's going on, and so they give up, lose sight of their goals, they lose focus.
When you break down a goal into smaller, more manageable steps, it can be much easier to keep track of and see your progress. When you focus on one thing at a time and make small changes, you are more likely to stick with it and stay motivated.
Additionally, when something becomes a habit it is easier to maintain long-term. With this approach, you don't have to feel overwhelmed by the bigger picture but can instead focus on the smaller goals and progress you are making each day.
So if you just focus on just that one thing, then you can UNLOCK, SHIFT and EMPOWER.
